A HUGE thank you to our HELLO LIVE 2016 Conference speakers!!

Mario Armstrong -Keynote Speaker

Never Settle and Al Roker Media

You’ve probably seen Mario on TV as an Emmy Award–winning talk show host and Digital Lifestyle Expert® or as a regular contributor on NBC’s TODAY show, CNN, and NPR. Or maybe on Inside Edition, Dr. Oz, Steve Harvey, or Rachael Ray. He is the author of the monthly “Learn It” column in Men’s Fitness magazine. He’s also served as chief technology advocate for the city of Baltimore, IT director for the state of Maryland Tourism Department, and was one of only six people to represent the U.S. at the Technology Delegation in Seoul, South Korea. Whew. When he’s not playing host, contributor, and expert, he’s living a balanced life, playing husband and father, devouring sushi, meditating, adding to his metal lunchbox collection, and taking his “sneaker head” status to borderline obsessive levels. (Seriously, you wouldn’t believe this guy’s closet.)

Shelley Coates-Speakers

How Does She

Shelley Coates co-founded HowDoesShe in 2009. HowDoesShe was created by women, inspired by women, and is dedicated to empowering and embracing motherhood and womanhood. The site has quickly expanded to an international following, with a strong social media presence, which includes over 1.6 million FaceBook Fans. The backbone of HowDoesShe is its many talented writers and contributors from all over the United States and Canada, sharing both personal and professional articles and tutorials. Shelley is a spunky social butterfly, bravely walking the tightrope of raising five small children, attempting gourmet meals, and being a hopeless romantic.  A forever girly-girl, Shelley loves high heels and earrings and ardently believes that if you don’t have time to put on makeup, these two things will distract from the face. Shelley resides in Tennessee with her family.

Emilie Daly- Speaker

Pick Your Plum & How Does She

Emilie has found a lot of success with Instagram as she’s worked with Pick Your Plum and How Does She growing their audiences to nearly 80K and 100K followers respectively in less than a year. Like many social media professionals her age, (aka she’s over 30. Don’t tell!) Emilie didn’t go to school for this. In fact, when she was still earning her Bachelor's in Psychology from Utah State University, people were still fantasizing about one day being able to call someone on the phone AND see them at the same time; they didn’t really think it would happen in their LIFETIME. Psst…spoiler alert. It’s totally a thing now!

After getting her degree and later teaching herself graphic design so she could fulfill her unexpected dream of becoming a fabric designer when she licensed her designs with Modern Yardage, she discovered that she’s head over heels for any social media that comes when working with a business; but most especially Instagram and Facebook Live.

When she’s not dreaming up new ways to get the people to follow, she’s talking about something on Facebook Live for Pick Your Plum. It’s her new favorite social media toy and she is fascinated by how small it makes the world. The sense of community and the ability to communicate on a level that pictures or old videos can’t, leave her as giddy as a fangirl at Comic Con (Surprise! She’s also a Whovian!).  Not to mention she can’t believe she’s lucky enough to get paid to be quirky… LIVE! If you’ve ever watched any of the videos you know she’s known for being professional without taking herself too seriously. Turns out, that’s a really good thing.

You judge for yourself by following @howdoesshe and @pickyourplum on Instagram and catching one of Pick Your Plum’s daily weekday Facebook Live videos. You never know what you’re going to get with live video and that’s half the fun!
